Geoscience Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Gaynor as a Business Development Assistant. Andrew, from Co. Kildare, is a graduate in Economics and Geography from NUI Maynooth and was recently awarded an MSc in Sustainable Development from Dublin Institute of Technology.
Having worked in banking with Bank of Ireland Global Markets for some years, Andrew undertook an MSc in 2012. During his MSc dissertation on the “Social Licence to Operate”, he worked as an intern with SLR Consulting in Dublin on numerous projects including a social licence auditing tool.
Commenting on the appointment Sean Finlay of Geoscience Ireland (GI) said;
“Andrew’s tasks of assisting with tendering and sourcing new business opportunities will assist the members of Geoscience Ireland (GI) in winning business in overseas markets. Since its inception two years ago, GI’s 21 member companies have created over 160 new jobs in consulting and contracting services”.
