Geoscience Ireland (GI) is pleased to announce two new members, providing design and contracting services in the management of excavations (Trench Control) and pavements (PMS).
Pavement Management Services Ltd (PMS) is a civil engineering consultancy specialising in testing, evaluation and management of roads, airports and ports. Founded in 1982, PMS has offices in Dublin and Galway and has completed projects in the UK, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Trinidad and Tanzania.
With over 30 years of experience, Trench Control specialises in ground support equipment hire, sheet piling, anchoring, flood protection and full design service. Trench Control also offers safety and training courses (Shorcontrol Safety – Ireland; & Citrus Training – UK) as well as expertise in the areas of deep and shallow foundation design, slope stability, soil nailing/anchoring/rock bolting, dewatering advice, soft ground engineering and excavation shoring.

“These two new companies, Trench Control and PMS, provide considerable additional expertise in areas of geotechnical engineering and infrastructure provision, to the existing 22 companies which comprise the GI consortium. I was pleased to welcome them to GI at a Strategic Planning Workshop held on 26th March in Dublin.”
