GI maintains a Panel of Individual Experts to assist its member companies with international projects and is pleased to announce two new appointees to the Panel.
Bryan Deegan; Bryan is an aquatic scientist, marine biologist and environmental scientist with 20 years’ experience working in terrestrial and aquatic environments, providing environmental services to the State, Semi-State and private industry. He has extensive experience in environmental data collation, aquatic surveys, project management, GIS, habitat mapping, appropriate assessment, environmental impact assessment, mitigation and in renewable energy. He also has broad experience ranging from constraints assessments, GIS audits, remote sensing, to writing National Reports such as Ireland’s 5th National Report to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
Bryan is a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
James Stratford; James is a Geologist specialising in Mineral Exploration: skills include planning and management of drilling programmes; GIS (ArcGIS, MapInfo); training and developing local technicians; exploration strategy; report writing; licence applications; 3D modelling (Surpac, Leapfrog Geo); managing remote field operations; QA/QC; presentation to senior management & investors; writing press releases.
He has worked on projects in Australia, Ireland, Finland, Zambia and Mali – unravelling gold, copper, nickel and diamond targets for companies including AngloGold Ashanti and First Quantum Minerals.
James is a full professional member of the Institute of Geologists of Ireland and a member of European Geologists.
