    Minister Sean Kyne Launches “Unearthed: Impacts of the Tellus surveys of the north of Ireland”

    Minister of State for Natural Resources and Gaeltacht Affairs, Sean Kyne TD, launched the Tellus publication on Wednesday, 5th October.

    Published by the Royal Irish Academy (RIA), and produced in partnership with the Geological Survey of Ireland (GSI), the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland (GSNI) and the British Geological Survey (BGS), the book presents findings from Tellus – the largest collaborative cross-border programme of geoscience surveys on the island of Ireland to date.

    The book also outlines the projects successful stakeholder engagement and communication campaign.

    Speakers (pictured) included Professor Iain Stewart, Professor Mark Ferguson (Science Foundation Ireland ), Koen Verbruggen and Monica Lee (both GSI), Marie Cowan (GSNI) and Dr Deirdre Lewis (SLR Consulting) while Sean Finlay, Geoscience Ireland, facilitated a stakeholder consultation session.
