    Winning Business in Africa

    Winning Business in Africa (WBIA) is a development focused project aimed at providing Irish companies with relevant information on European Development Fund contracts in Africa. WBIA is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade and the Irish Business and Employers’ Confederation (IBEC)

    The project aligns with the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation’s Action Plan, which is aimed at assisting indigenous businesses to grow, as well as assisting Irish companies to participate in large contracts business in key African sectors including infrastructure development & energy.

    The EDF will provide €30.5 billion to the group of ACP (Africa, Caribbean & Pacific) countries during 2014-2020.

    Charlie Flanagan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade said:

    “I am delighted that the Winning Business in Africa II project between my Department and Ibec is moving into a new phase, and the online portal is now available to all interested Irish companies”
