Geoscience Ireland (GI) is a business cluster and assists its member companies in winning business overseas.
Geoscience is a highly technical area, which incorporates a number of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Geoscience is most prominent in the early stages of infrastructure development, although it is relevant at all stages in contracting works in terms of design, construction and in-situ monitoring of geotechnical solutions and environmental impacts.
The GI network of companies delivers integrated expertise in water, minerals, environmental and infrastructure development to clients in over 70 countries. GI is supported by Geological Survey Ireland (a line division of the Department of The Environment, Climate & Communications), Enterprise Ireland (Ireland’s national export agency) and the Departments of Foreign Affairs and Business, Enterprise and Innovation.
