Project Objectives

Al Khor has been experiencing significant growth and, as development within the city has increased, the existing sewage treatment facilities have become overloaded. The existing phase 1 Treatment Works is designed for a population of 18,000. The Treatment Works are to be extended to provide sufficient treatment capacity for a nominal design population of 36,000.

Our Role

BLP and their Joint Venture Partner, ASCO, are acting as consultants on this project for the main contractor, Petroserv.  BLP/ASCO are the appointed Design Team Leaders whose scope of works includes the preliminary civil design, detailed civil design and review of detailed process design of the Extension to the Phase 1 Sewage Treatment Works at Al Khor. In addition, BLP and ASCO will be conducting HAZOP and CHAZOP Reviews and providing ancillary services including building services and roads.
