Project Objectives

The project objectives were to characterise a number of remote sites with regard to geotechnical properties and to interpolate between direct investigation points. A geohazard assessment was also carried out.

Our Role

APEX Geoservices Limited carried out on-site supervision of the acquisition of 10km of seismic data and carried out subsequent processing and reporting. The surveys provided information on the depth to bedrock and the type, thickness and stiffness of the superficial deposits in three study areas. Information on bedrock quality, geological structures and possible karstified zones was also obtained.
