Project Objectives/Outcomes

The project provided for the design and supervision of secondary roads in Hhoho districk, Swaziland.

Divided into two Lots, project objectives outlined are;

  • Lot No. 1 – Upgrading of the section of road from Mananga bridge to Sihhoye (14km) to paved bitumen standard. The new carriageway consists of two 3.6m wide land with a 1m wide shoulder on each side.
  • Lot No. 1 includes : Planning, site surveys , investigation, detailed design and tender documents.
  • Lot No. 2 – Upgrading of the section of road Dvokolakwo – Manzana (6km) including a major overtopable culvert / bridge and a section of concrete road.

Our Role

Nicholas O’Dwyer Ltd was responsible for the preliminary design and site investigation, detailed design, tender documents under EU/EDF procedures and works tender launch and clarifications inclusive of evaluation bids.

Assigned “Supervisor’s Representative” of Lot Nos. 1 and 2 – construction supervision and contract administration
