Project Objectives
The principal objective of the project was to identify the requirements for rehabilitation and/or upgrading of the water delivery system of Zarqa Water Governorate and develop an Investment Master Plan that is aimed at significantly reducing NRW in the Governorate in the most cost-effective manner.
Our Role
The project was structured into five parts: (i) Preparatory work which comprised site surveys, investigations, initial environmental and social assessment, and engineering analyses that are needed to identify rehabilitation and upgrading requirements; (ii) Development of the Investment Master Plan (IMP); (iii) Assessment of feasibility of all identified projects within the Investment Master Plan under a separate Feasibility Study (FS) and development of a Priority Investment Programme (PIP); (iv) Once specific projects were identified, preparation of environmental and social impact assessment (EIA), environmental management plan (EMP), and resettlement action plans (RAP); (v) Development of bid documents for the delivery of the selected projects.
