Project Objectives/Outcomes

The aim of the Birmingham Water Supply Resilience Project was to provide a back-up/alternative Water Supply to Frankley Reservoir and Water Treatment Plant.

The Frankley Reservoir and Plant was supplied by the existing Elan Valley Aqua-duct which was in a poor state of repair and needed to be taken out of service for upgrading and rehabilitation.
