Closer Collaboration between Geoscience Ireland Members – New Joint Venture Agreement
A key component of Geoscience Ireland (GI) strengths is the collaboration between Member Companies – an essential element of GI’s success since its formation. Reflecting this strength is the recently announced Joint Venture Agreement between Verde Environmental Group and PW Nigeria Ltd.
Verde has signed a joint venture agreement with PW Nigeria Ltd, one of the largest civil engineering contractors in Nigeria, delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects in roads, bridges, airports, water supply and treatment, quarrying and building. Verde provides environmental consultancy and contracting services to industrial, commercial, insurance, government and residential sectors, specialising in remediation of contaminated lands. Nigerian projects include services for the restoration of the oil-impacted areas in Ogoniland, Nigeria.
Commenting on the JV, Sean Finlay of GI said:
“GI Member Companies support one another by sharing market information, skills and technical excellence, and often collaborate in co-tendering for projects. GI warmly welcomes the Verde- PW Nigeria Joint Venture which is further development of these mutual supports. The JV is a great example of synergy between large and smaller enterprises, providing specialist skills to well-established infrastructure providers.”
