Economic Recovery on a Shared Island

June 4, 2021/in News
As part of a Shared Island Dialogue Series, over 100 representatives from North and South attended a webinar on 2 June which featured speakers from the public and private sectors, following an address by An Tanaiste, Leo Varadker TD.

The Shared Island initiative is focused on harnessing the full potential of the Good Friday Agreement to deliver progress and foster trust and understanding between all communities and political traditions on the island.
The Dialogue on June 2nd recognises the Government’s commitment to enhance, develop and deepen all aspects of North/South cooperation including the all-island economy, with a  focus on how this can be achieved and how to grow business links and champion entrepreneurship. The Dialogue also focused on opportunities for further economic cooperation on a shared island, with North/South and East/West dimensions, including on post-pandemic recovery and just transition to a carbon-neutral future.
The presentations can be found here.
