GI continues to provide industrial liaison support services to the Geo Drilling Apprenticeship on behalf of the Consortium Steering Group via the GI Panel of Experts. Supports will include Participation in the Steering Committee, Engagement with drilling companies, Liaison with professional and vocational organisations and procurement agencies, Promotion of the course, Interaction with SETU, SOLAS, Careers Officers and the Higher Education Authority.
The next intake of first year students will take place in September 2022. The Education Provider is the newly established South East Technological University (SETU). This obligation was previously fulfilled by IT Carlow, now part of SETU.
