At a recent Webinar hosted jointly by the Ireland Canada Business Association (ICBA) and Geoscience Ireland (GI),updates on Minerals Policy were provided by Brendan Ringrose (Partner at Whitney Moore LLC); Minerals Exploration and Mining by John Bligh (Equity Exploration) and Bart Jawroski (Group 11) and on the role of applied research in finding and developing key minerals by Emer Caslin (Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geoscience).

Inward investment by Canadian and Irish-Canadian mining companies goes back 60 years, resulting in the development of five of  seven base metal mines in Ireland. Among those  companies with Canadian links currently active in the sector in Ireland are Group 11, Minco, Teck, Dalradian and International Lithium.
