Project Objectives/ Outcomes

The Camp Adventure tower is a 45m tall hyperboloid lattice structure and spiralling walkway that concludes a 600m elevated trail to take visitors, regardless of their physical condition, up and above the trees for a panoramic view of the surrounding forests.

The tower will be part of Camp Adventure, an existing sports facility with treetop climbing paths and aerial zip lines. The form of the tower allows the use of straight structural elements resulting in an efficient and visually striking structure.

Arup’s scope was to work as a direct team with the architects, EFFEKT, to take the concept from its inception through to detailed delivery.

Our Role

Arup is bringing structural and geotechnical expertise with digital innovation through collaborated architect-engineer parametric workflows to design a complex structure in an efficient and flowing manner.
