Geoscience Ireland member company ByrneLooby has acquired a leading UK multidisciplinary environmental, ground engineering and waste management consultancy: TerraConsult.

TerraConsult is headquartered between Manchester and Liverpool and employs 45 people and will bring additional expertise and capacity to ByrneLooby. As part of the ByrneLooby Group, TerraConsult will benefit from multi-disciplinary support, greater geographical reach and corporate scale facilitating access to larger projects. To date, Terraconsult has completed projects in Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon, Turkey, India, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE and Ghana.

In recent years, ByrneLooby has acquired Cronin Millar Consulting Engineers (ports and harbour specialists), Sinclair Johnston & Partners (structural engineers) and has signed a collaboration agreement with GI member company Fehily Timoney & Co (to collaborate on business development in the Gulf region).
